Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Evening Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Rethink. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the reception area, and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the reception team on shift to enhance guest's stay experience by welcoming, checking in, checking out, handling special requests, and allocating rooms.
- Ensure financial processors and audits are completed to prevent financial risk and recover outstanding payments.
- Direct team members in a manner that motivates and engages them with their role, driving them to achieve objectives, targets, and development goals through continuous on-the-job training.
- Work as a duty manager in an allocated shift when required and support the night team as necessary.
- Assist with H&S protocols in the hotel.
Measures of Performance:
- Customer Feedback
- Audits
- Staff Performance
Requirements:
Essentials:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with customers and staff.
- Excellent customer care skills, both face-to-face and telephone.
- Able to work shifts as required (flexibility).
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to train staff effectively.
Good Organisation and administration
Able to work as a team player
Able to work night shifts when required
Experience:
Essentials:
- Opera (PMS/ORS system) working knowledge.
- 2 years' experience within the reception department.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as Reception Supervisor in a 4-star Hotel.
- Experience in responding to guest reviews.
