Reception Supervisor Opportunity at Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reception Supervisor to join our team at the luxurious Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel in East London. As a key member of our Front Office Department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Reception Team to ensure prompt and courteous check-in and check-out procedures
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor and respond to online guest reviews to maintain high standards of guest service
  • Provide full concierge services, including meeting guests from their taxis and carrying luggage to their suites
  • Prepare bills, handle payments, and run payment reports
  • Refund credit cards in case of any issues and investigate chargebacks
  • Prepare arrivals for the following day, taking care of room allocations and guest requests
  • Ensure the main hotel lobby and reception desk areas are always clean, tidy, and welcoming
  • Promptly report any maintenance, breakage, or cleanliness problems to the relevant department

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel establishment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Impeccable attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask
  • Experience of providing full concierge services and handling guest requests
  • Knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local area
