Security Officer Job Description

Thorpe Park is seeking a skilled and professional Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough bag checks and personal searches to maintain a secure environment.
  • Patrol the resort, being vigilant for any potential threats to the safety of the park.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, working closely with the on-site First Aid team.
  • Collaborate with the Surrey Police to reduce anti-social behavior and maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Perform asset transfers and other security-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • SIA license is mandatory for this role.
  • Must be over 18 years old.
  • Excellent de-escalation skills and conflict management abilities, in conjunction with SIA training.
  • Crowd management skills are essential for this role.
  • Flexibility in working hours is required.
  • Approachable and confident demeanor is necessary for effective communication with guests and staff.
  • Willingness to drive standards and work closely with other departments.
