About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Foster Care Liaison Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting foster carers who will be part of the Mockingbird Family Model.

The Mockingbird Family Model is an innovative approach to delivering foster care, which aims to improve placement stability, safety, and permanency for children and young people in care. As a Foster Care Liaison Officer, you will work closely with the team manager, supervising social workers, and hub home carers to implement and develop this model in Tameside.

You will be responsible for providing training to foster families within the constellation and facilitating peer support, regular joint planning, and social activities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in care.

We are looking for candidates with:
