Team Supervisor Position

We are seeking a dedicated Team Supervisor to oversee operations in a registered children's residential facility, affiliated with Spencer Clarke Group.

Contract Type: Permanent (42 hours per week)

Salary: £32,000 annually.

Role Overview:

  • The primary responsibility is to guide a team in fostering a secure, nurturing, and supportive atmosphere that prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of the children.
  • To deliver suitable physical and emotional assistance to the young residents through the collaborative efforts of care staff within a residential setting.
  • The focus is on effective team management, which includes inspiring, coaching, assessing performance through evaluations, and ensuring high-quality care standards.
  • This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with 'The Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards' while also providing opportunities for practice enhancement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Understanding of management principles, including effective supervision and performance appraisal.
  • Solid knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs, including recent advancements in the field.
  • Familiarity with recognized positive strategies for addressing challenging behaviors linked to learning difficulties.
  • Awareness of human development stages.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team, fostering best practices in a care or educational support environment.
  • Proven track record of effectively engaging with young individuals with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
  • Experience in planning and organizing educational activities tailored to meet the needs and capabilities of young people, achieving positive outcomes.
  • Experience in person-centered planning methodologies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least a Level 3 RQF qualification in Child and Young Person's Workforce or an equivalent credential (Essential).
  • Willingness to undertake necessary training relevant to the role.
