We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Homeless Outreach Worker to join our team. As a key member of our outreach team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of our service users. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors, and will need to be able to think on your feet and make quick decisions to support individuals in crisis.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide person-centered support to service users, enabling them to secure suitable accommodation and meet their immediate needs.
- Work with a range of external agencies to provide comprehensive support to individuals.
- Make quick decisions to support individuals in crisis, often in high-pressure situations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, building trust and rapport to facilitate positive outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of outreach strategies to support individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
- Experience of working with homeless individuals or those at risk of becoming homeless.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often outdoors, and to think on your feet.
- Knowledge of local services and resources that can support individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
- DBS clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.
