Recovery Support Specialist

At The Forward Trust, we are seeking a skilled Recovery Support Specialist to join our Recovery Directorate. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals in recovery, working closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess adults in need of support around substance misuse and maintain abstinence-based recovery
- Deliver 1:1 and group-work interventions using motivational techniques and trauma-informed approaches
- Work effectively with adults experiencing multiple disadvantages, including unemployment, homelessness, and mental ill health
- Manage high caseloads, complete risk assessments, and maintain effective case records
- Develop links with relevant agencies, including residential rehabs and supported housing providers
Requirements:
- A thorough knowledge of the needs of clients in recovery
- Experience of working in the substance misuse field or a related field
- Strong skills in IT communication and Microsoft Office packages
