About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Draughtsperson to join our team and contribute to the design and development of innovative process equipment and facilities. You will play a vital role in translating engineering specifications into detailed technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Produce and update detailed design drawings for process equipment and packaging lines, incorporating the latest technological advancements.
  • Develop comprehensive building layout and site services drawings, encompassing steam, water, electricity, compressed air, gas, underground pipes, and sprinkler systems.
  • Create precise drawings for planning applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Generate mechanical, process, and electrical drawings, including piping & cabling routes, hoppers, feed systems, and as-built documentation.
  • Develop clear and concise process flow maps to illustrate operational workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with Project Engineers to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project specifications, meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and standardize drawing formats and procedures across the site, promoting consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous company drawing standards and technical records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education to A Level or equivalent, BTEC or HNC/HND. Previous experience in an engineering design environment or relevant engineering qualifications are highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bentley MicroStation tools is essential.
  • A strong understanding of Design Office practices, drawing revision control, and change management processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in company software tools, including 3D Experience, FreeHand, and Microsoft Office.
  • Expertise in key design disciplines such as General Arrangements, Detail Drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Electrical Schematics.
