Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions for our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of digital and analogue electronics and firmware for products from concept through to production, with a focus on FPGA VHDL.
  • System Architecture: Develop system architectural designs and concepts, ensuring they meet the required specifications and requirements.
  • Design Tools: Utilize Altium Designer CAD tool for schematic and board layout, and other relevant design tools to support the design process.
  • Prototype and Testing: Build, test, and fault-find prototypes to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Requirements Capture: Capture and document specifications and requirements for hardware designs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including junior engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Design Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in digital and analogue design, with a strong background in embedded programming and FPGA VHDL.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools, such as Altium Designer, and experience with EMC compliance design techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the growth and development of the R&D department.
