About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Practice Nurse to join our team at Military Medical Personnel. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and personal service to patients and their families
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with military personnel and their families
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) Level 1 with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a valid, in-date Personal Identification Number (PIN) and not be subject to any restrictions of practice
  • Hold current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance
  • Minimum of two years post-registration experience in PHC practice
  • Minimum of one year's post-registration in a Band 6 or higher grade in a Primary Healthcare (PHC) setting (within the last three years)
  • Up-to-date training and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Anaphylaxis, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Safeguarding Children and Young People and Vulnerable Adults Level 2
Preferred Qualifications
  • Immunisation and vaccination training (including children)
  • Venepuncture training
  • Travel Health training
  • Minor Injuries training
  • Minor Illness/ Common PHC Presentations training
  • Child Health in Primary Care training (if working in a families practice)
  • Cervical Cytology Sample Taking training (if working in a Medical Facility)
  • Preparation for Mentorship; Supporting Learning and Assessment in Practice (SLAiP); Mentorship and Assessment in Practice; Clinical Supervision or equivalent
