Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at The Highlands Practice. As an ANP, you will be responsible for providing same-day care to patients registered at our practice, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone triage, initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care to patients.
  • Develop and implement care plans, including emergency health care plans, in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Prescribe and review medication, ensuring therapeutic effectiveness and adherence to evidence-based practice and national protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote healthy lifestyles and self-care strategies.
  • Adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain a professional manner, acting as a positive role model to other team members.
  • Participate in quality governance systems and processes to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience in primary care.
  • MSc nursing degree.
  • Previous experience in general practice is desirable.
