Job Summary

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at The Highlands Practice, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients registered at our practice. This role requires a skilled clinician who can work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide same-day care for patients, including telephone triage, initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, using your clinical judgment to diagnose, treat, or refer patients.
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug- and nondrug-based treatment methods into a management plan.
  • Make direct referrals to primary, secondary, and social services within locally agreed pathways, guidance, and protocols.
  • Support patients to adopt healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.

Person Specification

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience.
  • MSc nursing degree.
