About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at The Highlands Practice. As an ANP, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our registered patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake consultations with patients, using your clinical judgment to diagnose, treat, or refer as necessary.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug- and nondrug-based treatment methods into a management plan.
- Make direct referrals to primary, secondary, and social services within agreed pathways, guidance, and protocols.
- Work with patients and carers to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of each patient contact.
Requirements
- Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- 2-3 years of clinical experience in primary care.
- MSc nursing degree.
