Consultant in Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. Main Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with endocrine conditions, both in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary diabetes and endocrine teams to develop pathways and provide multidisciplinary care.
- Work with colleagues across specialties to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Participate in rotational shared care of an 18-bed diabetes/general medical ward.
- Specialty consults and supervision of Specialty Registrars.
- Weekend and bank holiday ward cover.
- Out-of-hours telephone advice for general medicine.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, contributing to their development and training.
- Contribute to audit, clinical governance, and service development.
- Support participation in research and clinical trials.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case presentations, and teaching sessions for medical students and doctors in training.
