We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Haematopathology to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting bone marrow trephine biopsies, lymph node biopsies, and other relevant solid tissue samples in the context of a Specialist Integrated Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SIHMDS).
Main DutiesThe main duties of this post include:
- Reporting haematopathology specimens, including bone marrow trephine biopsies, lymph node biopsies, and other relevant solid tissue samples.
- Working independently to integrate reporting of haematopathology specimens, preferably within a SIHMDS or equivalent.
- Collaborating with an established team of consultant, scientific, and technical staff to support the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies.
- Developing and maintaining strong links with clinical, laboratory, and academic colleagues.
