About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Consultant in Haematology to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies, working closely with our established team of Consultants, scientific and technical staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reporting bone marrow morphology and experience of other multimodality haematopathology testing, including molecular assays.
  • Working within a Specialist Integrated Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (SIHMDS) or equivalent.
  • Collaborating with the East Genomic Laboratory Hub and multiple Cambridge University research groups working on haematological malignancies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a CCT in Haematology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. They will also have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013).
