About the Role

The Nigel Wright Group is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading the procurement function and driving strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of procurement professionals, overseeing operational, day-to-day, and strategic procurement activities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead procurement activities on major strategic projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide high-level guidance and advice to stakeholders on procurement best practices, communicating regulatory changes and their impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies, with a strong background in strategic sourcing.
  • Experience in managing a broad category portfolio, including engineering, construction, business services, FM, and capex.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships swiftly and with ease.
  • Well-rounded communication and networking skills, with the ability to engage, proactively, and confidently act as the procurement figurehead.
  • Flexible and agile, with the ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level.
