About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team at the Babraham Institute. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on the role of extracellular proteostasis in healthy ageing and host defence against pathogens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dissect the impact of extracellular proteostasis on health using reverse genetics, proteomics, and functional assays in C. elegans
  • Develop and execute research projects to understand the mechanisms of extracellular proteostasis
  • Collaborate with the Signalling Programme team to advance our understanding of healthy ageing and age-related diseases

Requirements

  • PhD in cell or molecular biology, genetics, or a related field
  • Experience with C. elegans research, including reverse genetics, proteomics, and functional assays
  • Strong background in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
