Postdoctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge, UK. The successful candidate will work within the group of Dr. Tanmay Bharat, investigating Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm formation using electron cryotomography (cryo-ET) and subtomogram averaging structure determination.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake research aimed at in situ structural studies of P. aeruginosa biofilms.
- Identify, develop, and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.
- Present scientific work at seminars within the laboratory and at external meetings.
- Contribute to laboratory-wide discussions on developments within the field.
- Draft scientific papers and contribute to the overall preparation of research for publication.
- Assist in the training of PhD students and other members of the LMB.
- PhD in a relevant subject or due to complete PhD within 6 months.
- Experience of and ability to perform techniques relevant to the project, particularly useful would be experience in structural or cell biology.
- Track record of research achievements and contributions to published papers.
