Job Title: Postdoctoral Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). The successful candidate will work within the group of Dr Patrycja Kozik, investigating initiation immune responses by dendritic cells.

Job Summary:

The Postdoctoral Scientist will undertake research to characterise molecular mechanisms involved in dendritic cell functions. This will involve identifying, developing, and applying a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to investigate molecular mechanisms involved in dendritic cell functions.
  • Develop and apply a range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.
  • Present scientific work at seminars within the laboratory and at external meetings.
  • Contribute to laboratory-wide discussions on developments within the field.
  • Draft scientific papers and contribute to the overall preparation of research for publication.
  • Contribute to the LMB's mission in the public engagement of science and the translation of research findings into improvements in healthcare.
  • Assist in the training of PhD students and other members of the LMB.
Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, or immunology, or be due to complete their PhD within 6 months. They will also have solid knowledge of dendritic cell biology and experience of relevant techniques.
