Postdoctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). The successful candidate will work within the group of Dr. Anne Bertolotti, focusing on the study of phosphatases and kinases controlling the integrated stress response.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake research aimed at solving structures of phosphatases and kinases.
- Identify, develop, and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue the research objectives.
- Present scientific work at seminars within the laboratory and at external meetings.
- Contribute to laboratory-wide discussions on developments within the field.
- Draft scientific papers and contribute to the overall preparation of research for publication.
- Contribute to the LMB's mission in the public engagement of science and the translation of research findings into improvements in healthcare.
- Assist in the training of PhD students and other members of the LMB.
- PhD in biochemistry/structural biology or due to complete PhD within 6 months.
- Experience of and ability to perform techniques relevant to the project, including CryoEM.
- Experience of and ability to perform techniques relevant to the project, including protein expression and purification in diverse systems.
