Position: Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist

Location: Care First – Pheasey, Walsall area, Birmingham

Compensation: Up to £45,000 (commensurate with experience)

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Employment Type: Permanent - 52 weeks

Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a personal vehicle is essential.

We are in search of a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist to become part of our clinical team, collaborating to create personalized assessment and intervention strategies for adults facing developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, complex needs, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. We offer support through both practical and vocational training.

Role Overview

In this role, you will adopt a holistic and therapeutic approach to assist our adults in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and health. You will carry out all aspects of clinical duties related to Occupational Therapy, adhering to professional and regulatory standards, conducting individual assessments and interventions, and preparing necessary documentation, including report writing. Additionally, you will provide information and training to staff, commissioners, and other relevant agencies as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recognized and relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC and RCOT
  • Sensory Integration qualification is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle
  • Previous experience working with adults or children with intellectual disabilities
