We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Social Work Assistant to join our team at Birmingham Children's Trust. As a Senior Social Work Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to families and individuals affected by adoption and care proceedings.

About the Role

The Senior Social Work Assistant will be part of our developing intensive and targeted support service, working closely with our team to provide specialist therapeutic support to vulnerable adults and families. You will work therapeutically with mothers, fathers, and couples, providing support to help them build healthy relationships and improve their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive and targeted support to families and individuals affected by adoption and care proceedings
  • Work therapeutically with mothers, fathers, and couples to build healthy relationships and improve their lives
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and deliver therapeutic services that meet the needs of our clients
  • Contribute to the development of our intensive and targeted support service, including Families Together +, Family Group Conferencing, Life Long Links, and Intensive Family Therapy

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in social work and therapeutic support, with experience working with vulnerable adults and families. You will also need to be passionate about providing support to families and individuals affected by adoption and care proceedings.
