About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Specialist to join our Alcohol Care Team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care and treatment to patients with alcohol misuse issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients who misuse alcohol and develop individualized care plans to address their needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to Trust staff on the care and management of acute alcohol-related issues.
  • Support a caseload of patients who are not engaging in community services, resulting in hospital admission and frequent attendance at Trust services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and treatment for patients.
  • Develop and deliver education programs to Trust staff on screening and brief interventions for alcohol misuse.
Requirements
  • RMN or RGN at degree level (or equivalent) with current NMC registration.
  • Awareness of the need for a multi-agency approach to care planning for patients who abuse alcohol.
  • Clinical knowledge of substance use and alcohol withdrawal.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
