About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Alcohol Care Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with alcohol misuse issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in substance use and alcohol withdrawal, with experience of working in a multi-agency setting. You will be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, providing individualized care and support to patients.

Key responsibilities will include assessing patients who misuse alcohol, advising Trust staff on care and management, and supporting a caseload of patients who are not engaging in community services. You will also be responsible for providing training to Trust staff on screening and brief interventions, and participating in the development and delivery of education programmes.

Person Specification
  • RMN or RGN at degree level (or equivalent) with Current NMC Registration
  • Awareness of the need for a multi-agency approach to care planning for patients who abuse alcohol
  • Experience of working in the substance and alcohol use sector
  • Experience in multi-agency working and training
  • Clinical knowledge of substance use and alcohol withdrawal
  • Evidence of ongoing training and practices in the field of substance use and public health prevention
