About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team, including Assistant Chefs and Catering Assistants, to ensure efficient and effective meal preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents, ensuring that meals are nutritious, delicious, and presented to a high standard.
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, including food stock and supplies, to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for staff and residents.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or hospitality setting.
  • Valid food hygiene certificate and knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
