About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) team in Southend-on-Sea. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to our clinicians, working directly with young people and their families, and participating in the on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the CAMHS team
  • Work directly with young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota, with a frequency of 1:7 and a 2% on-call supplement
  • Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member
  • Work alongside a Specialty Doctor and commit to collaborative working
Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
