Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Primary Care Mental Health Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the delivery of Community Mental Health Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based psychological and non-psychological treatments for common mental health disorders, collaborating with local primary care networks.
  • Create a single path within the sphere of responsibility, working closely with other Community Mental Health teams and Inpatient Services to aid patient recovery.
  • Work with GPs, Primary Care teams, and Consultant Psychiatrists to support patients in appropriate clinical environments.
  • Ensure safe clinical practice in line with Care Quality Commission standards.
  • Lead teams to continuously improve service quality and high standards of care.
  • Provide and undertake detailed physical health investigations.

Requirements

  • Registered mental health nurse, qualified social worker, or Occupational therapist.
  • Risk management, good written and spoken English.
  • Experience in working in mental health, good communication skills, and IT skills.
