About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join NELFT North East London Foundation Trust as a CAMHS Community Consultant Psychiatrist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs, particularly those with eating disorders, across Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical guidance and support to the team, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, their families, and external CAMHS mental health providers, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to the team and ensuring continuity of care.
- Contribute to the development of the team, supporting colleagues and promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Work closely with the 0.2wte Paediatrician to ensure comprehensive care for young people with complex needs.
- Engage in collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health, particularly in eating disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality care.
- Strong leadership and guidance skills, with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
