Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in our community.

Main Duties

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to address the mental health needs of our patients
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive range of services
  • Providing education and training to other healthcare professionals on mental health issues affecting children and adolescents
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of our services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Completion of a specialist training program in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with mental health issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
