About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, particularly those with eating disorders, across Essex.
  2. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  3. Work directly with young people and their families, and liaise as necessary with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  4. Participate in the on-call rota, with a 1:7 frequency and a Category B on-call supplement.
  5. Support colleagues and the team leader, promoting a collaborative and effective team environment.
  6. Work closely with a 0.2wte Paediatrician.
  7. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health, as well as experience in providing senior medical support, is essential.
