About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Railway Safety Trainer to join our team in the Western Wales Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing Safety Critical training and competency within Rail Services.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of rail industry standards relating to plant and equipment, including operational safety and Health & Safety legislation. They will also hold Trainer, Assessor Qualifications and be willing to undertake further training as required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, organisational ability, and IT skills, with experience in administration and organisation. They will also hold a UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to manage plant and artisans' competencies.
  • Co-ordinate training and re-certification of artisans and plant operators.
  • Maintain the staff competency data base.
  • Develop training and assessment documentation.
  • Assist with Technical, Safety & incident investigations as required.
  • Analyses, forecast, plan and monitor the competency management system.
  • Attend meetings as business requirements
  • Lead and participate in Safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures
