About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Railway Safety Specialist to join our team in the Western and Wales Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing Safety Critical training and competency within Rail Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective systems are in place to manage plant and artisans' competencies.
  • Co-ordinate training and re-certification of artisans and plant operators.
  • Maintain the staff competency data base.
  • Develop training and assessment documentation.
  • Assist with Technical, Safety & incident investigations as required.
  • Analyses, forecast, plan and monitor the competency management system.
  • Attend meetings as business requirements
  • Lead and participate in Safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards and procedures
