Role Overview:
If you have a knack for creating clear and captivating messages, the Communications Assistant role at 8Bits is for you. You will assist in the formulation and execution of communication strategies that connect with our audience. Your responsibilities will include managing diverse communication channels, generating content, and ensuring uniform messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and execution of both internal and external communication strategies.
- Draft, revise, and disseminate content across various platforms, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and the corporate website.
- Oversee and engage with social media accounts, interacting with the audience and addressing inquiries.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing communication campaigns, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Help organize events, manage media relations, and facilitate promotional activities.
- Track media coverage and compile reports on communication initiatives, offering insights and suggestions for enhancement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain consistency in messaging and branding across all communications.
- Keep and update media contact lists, ensuring accuracy and currency.
- Assist in the development of visual content, collaborating with designers to create graphics and other materials as required.
- Support administrative tasks related to communications, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documentation.
What We're Looking For:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying information clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Basic knowledge of public relations, media relations, and communication strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) is advantageous.
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- A genuine enthusiasm for the entertainment sector and a passion for storytelling.
