Fundraising and Events Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our team at Devon County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of fundraising plans, events, and campaigns to support the sustainability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support local youth centre teams to develop their annual fundraising plans, goals, and events programs.
  • Conduct locality mapping, communicate with sponsors and donors, and contribute to writing grant applications.
  • Work closely with our data, finance, social action, and marketing teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Manage and attend events as required, working at times that are conducive to the community fundraising activities and participants.
  • Identify local businesses to engage with Space Youth Centres and Chances School.
  • Support local fundraising volunteers and work with the volunteer coordinator and social action manager to develop and implement local fundraising plans.

Requirements

  • Possess a passion for supporting and developing services for young people.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and reach out when needed for help and support.

  • Annual leave: 5 weeks for the first 5 years, then additional days depending on length of service (pro-rata'd for part-time roles).
  • Additional 3 statutory days given between Christmas and New Year plus bank holidays.

Salary Details

  • £25,000 - £26,000 FTE - Spot Salary.

Hours

  • 37 hours per week (some evenings and weekend work).
