About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Fundraising Manager to join our Philanthropy Team at Helen & Douglas House. As a key member of our team, you will play a strategic role in the development of fundraising, working closely with our CEO and Director of Income Generation to drive growth and maximize income streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecasting.
  • Personally cultivate and develop relationships with high-profile funders and supporters to ensure strategic and financial benefit to Helen & Douglas House.
  • Maximize donor recruitment, retention, and lifetime value through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Work closely with the Philanthropy Team to develop and deliver fundraising strategies, including major gifts and trust fundraising.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and maximize fundraising opportunities.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in major donor and/or trust fundraising, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and delivering complex budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecasting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, such as Donorflex, and ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • A competitive salary range of £43,445 to £56,131 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
  • A hybrid full-time role with 2 days per week spent working in our office in Oxford.
