In this role, you will report to the Director of Volunteer Experience and collaborate closely with a senior regional volunteer leader to craft an inspiring vision and strategy aimed at fostering a robust community first aid initiative throughout your area.
About You
Your experience in working with volunteer groups will be invaluable as you empower them to achieve our collective objectives. You will take charge of organizing and facilitating engaging workshops and community events, both virtually and in-person. If you excel at public speaking and can convey ideas effectively and confidently, this position is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities
Our innovative strategy centers around our vision for community first aid—providing, teaching, and promoting it. You will play a pivotal role in supporting volunteers from across St John to be at the forefront of this mission, collaborating locally to serve their communities. Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Attracting, recruiting, training, and engaging volunteers
- Creating an impactful community education program to enhance public first aid skills
- Empowering local youth by offering training and development opportunities
- Engaging supporters and donors through compelling local fundraising initiatives
- Raising awareness of our activities among the public, partner organizations, and senior volunteers and stakeholders
- Ensuring St John makes a meaningful impact in communities that require it most, guided by our principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
