Role Overview:

If you possess a knack for creating clear and compelling narratives, the Communications Assistant role at 8Bits is ideal for you. You will contribute to the formulation and execution of communication strategies that resonate with our target audience. Your responsibilities will include managing diverse communication channels, producing content, and ensuring uniform messaging across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and execution of both internal and external communication strategies.
  • Draft, edit, and disseminate content across various platforms, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and the corporate website.
  • Oversee and engage with social media accounts, interacting with the audience and addressing inquiries.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of communication campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Help coordinate events, media relations, and promotional activities.
  • Track media coverage and compile reports on communication efforts, providing insights and suggestions for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to maintain consistency in messaging and branding across all communications.
  • Keep and update media contact lists, ensuring accurate and current information.
  • Assist in creating visual content, collaborating with designers to produce graphics and other materials as necessary.
  • Support administrative tasks related to communications, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documents.

What We're Looking For:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying information clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Basic knowledge of public relations, media relations, and communication strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) is advantageous.
  • A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the entertainment sector and a passion for storytelling.
