About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Assistant to join our dynamic Facilities Management team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily building walk rounds to identify and report any faults, issues, or housekeeping concerns.
  • Manage meeting room and training room coordination, working closely with stakeholders to organize department training sessions and ensure furniture setups are completed efficiently.
  • Assist with health and safety responsibilities, including completing monthly safety sampling assessments.
  • Log all issues, including air conditioning temperature, lighting, broken doors/furniture, and utility usage, and coordinate repair works with landlords and subcontractors.
  • Ensure external contractors attend site as per maintenance schedules and that all necessary documentation, including RAMS and training certificates, are available in advance.
  • Act as a First Aider and Fire Warden for the office.
  • Assist with receiving goods and equipment, storing deliveries, and managing on-site merchandise, stock, and distribution to new starters.
  • Coordinate changes to staff and visitor access, managing access cards and logs.
  • Cover Reception duties when the Receptionist is on lunch or holidays.
  • Take on new tasks and assist the business as and when required.
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong IT and administration skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to juggle a range of tasks in a frontline role. First-class customer service skills and a proactive approach to ensuring the prompt resolution of day-to-day challenges are essential.
