Job Overview

Battery NEXUS is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our quality management systems and drive improvements in manufacturing processes for advanced sensor technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in either the automotive or aerospace sectors, particularly in the production of electronic components, and will be adept at implementing and overseeing quality assurance protocols, including ISO9001:2015 and AS9100.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance of the ISO9001:2015 quality management framework, ensuring compliance through regular internal audits.
    • Facilitate the adoption of new quality standards as necessary, such as AS9100.
    • Conduct supplier evaluations and quality audits, fostering the development of our supplier network.
  • Manufacturing Assistance:
    • Offer technical expertise and support to the production team throughout the development and manufacturing of sensor systems.
    • Assist in troubleshooting technical challenges encountered during the manufacturing cycle.
    • Support the creation of innovative manufacturing processes utilizing automated technologies, including die bonding and pick-and-place systems.
    • Ensure that manufacturing methodologies are established to achieve consistent repeatability.
    • Oversee the inspection protocols for incoming materials and finished goods.
  • Client Support:
    • Deliver technical assistance to clients regarding the functionality and performance of our sensor systems.
    • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports and operational guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    • Promote the application of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Lead efforts in problem-solving and root cause analysis to address operational issues.
    • Identify and propose enhancements for existing products and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience in the manufacturing of electronic or mechatronic components, preferably within the Automotive or Aerospace industries, focusing on sensor systems.
    • Experience in the establishment of new quality management frameworks.
    • Proven track record in leading lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimization.
    • Experience in generating technical documentation, including reports and specifications.
    • Familiarity with die bonding and wire bonding processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
