Job Summary:

Battery NEXUS is seeking a highly skilled Quality and Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Systems:
    • Manage and maintain our existing ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ensuring ongoing compliance and conducting internal audits.
    • Lead the implementation of new quality standards, such as AS9100, as required.
    • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, conducting quality audits and ensuring their compliance with our standards.
  • Manufacturing Support:
    • Provide technical guidance and support to our manufacturing team during the development and production of sensor systems.
    • Support the resolution of technical issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
    • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes using automated equipment, such as die bonding, pick and place, and wire bonding.
    • Ensure that manufacturing processes are developed to deliver the required levels of repeatability.
    • Manage the inspection of incoming materials and finished products.
  • Customer Support:
    • Provide technical support to customers regarding the operation and performance of our sensor systems.
    • Ensure that technical documentation, design reports, and operating descriptions are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Champion the implementation of lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement activities.
    • Lead problem-solving and root cause analysis of issues.
    • Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing products and processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in electronic or mechatronic component manufacturing, ideally in a relevant industry such as Automotive or Aerospace.
    • Implementation of new quality management systems.
    • Experience in implementing and leading lean manufacturing implementation and process development.
    • Experience in producing technical reports, prototype specifications, and other technical documentation.
    • Ideal experience in die bonding and wire bonding.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Results-driven and self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
