Band 5 Neurodevelopmental Support Psychologist

Are you interested in joining a collaborative and expanding multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and Dyspraxia?

This service is an extension of the well-established Children and Young People's Neurodevelopmental Service, which has received commendations for its quality of care. Our approach utilizes a multidisciplinary assessment framework, emphasizing teamwork and a commitment to delivering comprehensive evaluations with a focus on post-diagnostic assistance. We are seeking a Neurodevelopmental Support Psychologist who has experience working with individuals facing neurodevelopmental challenges. The role will involve assisting external partners in the assessment and diagnostic processes by performing tasks such as clinical triage and providing support and guidance to families awaiting evaluations. Additionally, the position may include the creation of online resources to enhance support for our service users.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the team in collaboration with external partners. You will receive guidance and supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Job Requirements

This role necessitates travel to training venues and meetings at various service locations; therefore, access to a vehicle is essential for county-wide travel (unless exempt under the Equality Act 2010).

Candidates must possess a Psychology Degree with GBR status from the British Psychological Society, achieving a minimum of a 2:1 classification.

Note: Registration with the appropriate professional body is a mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff.
