We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Youth Worker. This role will involve working with children who may have social, emotional, and/or mental health needs, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and promote mental health and wellbeing through prevention, identification, early support, and access to specialist support.
- Devising, implementing, and evaluating specialized programmes of work to encourage and promote a pupil's social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Planning and facilitating structured games and activities to support pupils to make appropriate use of unstructured times.
- Working with teaching staff and senior leadership team to devise and implement individual learning plans to promote pupils' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Observing and monitoring pupil progress, adapting an agreed approach to meet particular needs, recording and maintaining records of pupils' development and progress.
- Communicating effectively and working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external support as required to ensure effective provision for all our pupils.
- Monitoring pupil's progress before, during, and after intervention to measure the impact of the intervention strategy on progress.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children and young people.
- Experience of working with children who have social, emotional, and/or mental health needs.
- Knowledge of child development and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
