Position Overview

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in facilitating the transformation and sustainability of acute healthcare services across the region.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including clinical leaders and executives, to implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery. This position is integral to the Peninsula Acute Provider Collaborative (PAPC), which aims to provide high-quality, safe, and sustainable healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective communication and collaboration with NHS staff, external partners, and the public to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of project plans, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of objectives while adhering to quality standards.
  • Change Management: Apply structured methodologies to facilitate change, addressing any challenges that arise during the implementation process.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of their roles and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate issues, ensuring alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, along with a proven track record in managing complex projects within the healthcare sector. Strong leadership skills and the ability to navigate a politically sensitive environment are essential.
