Position Overview

SLR is seeking a dedicated Hydrology Project Specialist to join our well-established team of over 45 experts in hydrology and hydrogeology. Our Earth Science division has a proven track record in various sectors, including energy, waste management, mining, and both commercial and residential development.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with Technical Directors specializing in hydrology and flood risk, the Hydrology Project Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Conducting water quality assessments
  • Performing site walkover evaluations
  • Overseeing site investigation activities
  • Executing flood risk evaluations
  • Interpreting monitoring data
  • Preparing hydrological risk assessments
  • Contributing to Environmental Impact Assessment Reports

This position may involve working on projects and conducting site investigations across various locations, which may require occasional travel away from home for several days.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Holds a relevant degree (BEng/BSc, MEng/MSc) or equivalent qualification
  • Exhibits professionalism and effective communication skills
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Can work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Builds strong, enduring relationships
  • Manages time efficiently and possesses a proactive attitude
  • Holds a valid UK driving license
