About the Role

As a Demand Planner within our dynamic Purchasing & Supply Chain team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless product availability across our diverse portfolio. Your expertise will be instrumental in forecasting demand, monitoring its accuracy, and generating insightful reports to guide our supply chain strategies.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, effectively plan new product launches, promotions, and range changes, while minimizing waste through strategic stock clearance planning. Your ability to analyze trends, identify patterns, and leverage historical data will be essential in driving accurate forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop precise demand forecasts utilizing statistical analysis, historical data, and market insights.
  • Conduct in-depth product trend analysis, incorporating historical demand patterns, seasonality, and regional variations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and effectively plan new product launches, limited-time offers (LTOs), and range changes, including stock clearance strategies.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing waste.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy by comparing forecasts against actual sales and order intake, generating comprehensive reports for management review.
  • Ensure products are consistently available through the most efficient supply routes, creating detailed compliance reports.
  • Liaise with suppliers to gather accurate data and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels.
  • Work closely with operational teams to address stock level issues and proactively manage supply chain challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely information sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supply chain role within the food industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and other analytical functions.
  • Strong understanding of the fresh food sector, including products such as meats, cheeses, vegetables, and salads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and analytical mindset with a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
