Boskalis Westminster, a division of the Royal Boskalis Group, specializes in nearshore dredging and construction, supporting operations in the UK and Ireland.
We also deliver top-tier marine services throughout the UK, including vessel management and chartering for terminals, harbors, and Ministry of Defence operations.
Our extensive industry expertise and skilled teams ensure our clients receive safe and reliable marine services.
We operate a diverse fleet of vessels, granting clients exceptional access to resources and support. These vessels are managed by experienced crews committed to upholding the highest safety standards while adhering to industry best practices.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Business Sector Manager, the Marine Operations Project Leader is accountable for all facets related to the execution of marine services projects. This encompasses personnel management, operational planning, client interactions, financial oversight, safety, health, environment, quality (SHE-Q), reporting, and coordination with centralized support teams. The Marine Operations Project Leader actively engages in securing new contracts by providing support in bid preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Contract Equipment and Platform Authority (EPA) Ensure all operations are conducted safely and efficiently in line with company protocols and client specifications Advocate for the NINA behavioral safety initiative Proactively manage employee absences with assistance from HR and Occupational Health Oversee operations within the established budget and highlight any potential budget variances Liaise with clients to ensure contract deliverables are met and customer satisfaction remains high Ensure that Contract Management Plans are reviewed as necessary and associated registers are maintained Collect and maintain data to assess actual performance against contracted performance, reporting these metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually to the company and, when necessary, to the client Manage Service Delivery Risk Identify opportunities to enhance revenue and reduce costs Provide bid writing assistance for marine services tenders Act as a deputy for the Business Sector Manager when requiredRequired Qualifications and Experience:
Advanced academic qualification relevant to the role Experience in managing marine services contracts Understanding of contractual and regulatory frameworks related to marine services Proven experience in adhering to budgetary constraints Experience in developing and reviewing management plans and registers Proficient in bid writing for marine services contracts Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a project team to ensure timely contract deliverables Must possess or be able to obtain security clearanceWhat You Can Anticipate:
