Role Overview:
Princes Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement to join our dynamic manufacturing team. With a recent investment exceeding £60 million in our Cardiff facility, we are transforming it into one of Europe’s premier centers for Juice Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency while maintaining cost-effectiveness, ensuring that we meet our strategic objectives in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operational Performance Transformation and Head of Operations to execute a cohesive manufacturing vision and strategy focused on continuous improvement.
  • Champion lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S and root cause analysis, to foster a culture of ongoing enhancement at the site.
  • Assist the Senior Leadership Team in conducting comprehensive gap analyses of site processes and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate the development of both technical and behavioral competencies necessary for sustaining a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing factory costs while optimizing resource utilization through effective project management aligned with the Continuous Improvement Plan.
  • Encourage employee engagement in change initiatives to cultivate a culture receptive to transformation.
  • Provide coaching and training to site personnel, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to implement operational excellence principles effectively.
  • Uphold health and safety standards while performing designated tasks and activities.

  • Implement lean manufacturing practices to drive continuous improvement across the site.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the Princes Manufacturing System and the Site Must Win Battle Plan.
  • Exhibit behaviors that align with company values, contributing to the enhancement of Quality, Safety, and Environmental culture.
  • Support the organization in achieving its ethical trading and human rights objectives.
  • Maximize opportunities to communicate Princes' commitment to ethical trade and human rights when engaging with stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience at the Senior Leadership Team level.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Extensive practical experience in delivering projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles with a track record of achieving sustainable results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in motivating and mentoring teams to embrace new skills and translate them into operational success.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities.
