The Advocate Group is excited to collaborate with a prominent organization in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector that is committed to ongoing growth. We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to facilitate the execution of a defined manufacturing vision and strategy through the enhancement of processes, elimination of waste, and fostering a culture of proactive improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion lean manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), and root cause analysis to promote continuous enhancement.
- Oversee and implement a strategic operational excellence roadmap for the medium to long term.
- Conduct comprehensive gap analyses of site processes and performance metrics.
- Enhance both technical and behavioral competencies within the Senior Leadership Team to nurture a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead and facilitate initiatives aimed at reducing production costs while optimizing resource utilization.
General Duties
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Comprehend and implement the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) alongside the Site Must Win Battle Plan.
- Promote company values to enhance Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Support ethical trading practices and uphold human rights in all stakeholder interactions.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience at the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level with team management capabilities.
- Proven success in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (including 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), Kaizen, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)).
- Background in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and engage teams in adopting new skills and operational methodologies.
- Strong leadership, team-building, coaching, and development abilities.
