Hays Senior Finance is a well-established Practice looking to add a Senior Audit Manager to their Audit Function.
About the Role
As a Senior Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing audit activities within our organisation. Your responsibilities will include supervising other auditors, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing the annual audit plan, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
- Execute and schedule audit engagements based on the approved 12-month audit plan, maintaining a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Perform audit work and review the output of subordinates, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Handle special projects assigned to your team, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage complex tasks.
Team Supervision
- Monitor the activities of other auditors, ensuring they meet their objectives and complete tasks on time.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Reporting and Presentations
- Generate and present supervisory committee presentations and reports, effectively communicating audit findings and recommendations.
- Guide the committee in fulfilling their responsibilities effectively, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to make decisions.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Contribute to independent assurance by assessing risk management, internal processes, and governance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Safeguard compliance with procedures, regulations, financial reporting, laws, and policies, ensuring our organisation remains compliant and up-to-date.
- Assist in maintaining an effective control environment, ensuring our internal controls are robust and effective.
Requirements
- A number of years experience auditing for an Accountancy Practice, with a strong understanding of audit principles and practices.
- Managing Audit end to end, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality audit services.
- Desire to succeed, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
- ACA / ACCA qualified, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
